about me.
Since completing DesignLab’s UX Academy in 2022, I joined Dedicated Co., a software consultancy helping small businesses elevate their digital presence. I have led website redesigns, feature design, and digital communication campaigns for clients such as Spring & Mulberry, Anyway Magazine, Dionis Skincare, Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence, and Teachers Unify Action. I have experience designing within CMS platforms like Squarespace, WordPress, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Shopify, balancing brand consistency within the constraints of optimized user experiences. I love collaborating with project managers, developers, and non-technical client stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
Influenced by my background in Fine Arts and Film, my interest in UX/UI stems from a desire to make our digital lives easier, more equitable, and enjoyable. After graduating with a B.A. in Art History, I worked in museums, galleries, art studios, and creative non-profits. I have always been interested in aesthetics and form, but good storytelling is at the core of what drives me, personally and professionally. This is what led me to pursue UX. Good design can communicate ideas and even evoke feelings in the same way a good story can. It identifies key conflicts or obstacles and creates paths for users to overcome them. It can take a simple task and turn it into a satisfying experience. Ideally, it can do all of the above while being accessible, responsive, and adaptable.
You know a good product when you see it. Its purpose is clear, it looks cool, it’s intuitive, and it may even feel good to use. Working to be part of the process that brings users enjoyable solutions to their day-to-day, whether that’s simplifying tasks or expanding perspectives, is what motivates me as a designer.
